漫步在余东村，你会发现每一个角落都被当地的艺术家们用色彩装饰了起来。外文出版社荣誉英文主编大卫·弗格森在走访浙江期间，被这座位于浙江省衢州市近郊的村庄的艺术氛围深深吸引。 When you stroll through Yudong village, you will encounter splashes of color at every corner you turn. David W. Ferguson, honorary chief English editor at Foreign Languages Press, was deeply enchanted by this artistic village outside of Quzhou city. 村里许多建筑的山墙末端和临街墙壁上都描绘着壁画和其他形式的绘画，街上到处都是雕塑及其他类型的室外艺术作品。全村800多位村民中，有300多人参与农民画创作。 Many of the gable ends and the street fronts of the buildings in Yudong are decorated with murals and other paintings, and the streets are filled with sculptures and other artworks. Among the around 800 inhabitants of Yudong, 300 of them are also painters. 对于他们来说，绘画不仅仅是一种兴趣爱好。余东村农民画及相关产业年收入约3000万元，带动村民人均增收5000余元。“通过一幅农民画，真正实现了‘有人来、有活干、有钱赚’。”大卫在《潮涌之江：中国发展看“浙”里》一书中这样写道。 Painting is more than an intriguing hobby for Yudong.
